Tuesday Has Arrived

It is Tuesday morning here in Bangkok and we are getting ready to go meet our son for the first time. Yesterday we slept in and then walked to the TRC to make sure we knew where it was at. We then went to MBK which as you can see in the picture is a large mall with several floors. The picture was taken from the third floor. There was an awesome food court on the 5th floor. Later, we went to the night market which is an outdoor market just across from the hotel. Basically just getting used to the area around the hotel waiting for today to arrive.

After 24 plus hours of traveling we landed in Bangkok at around 11:45 Sunday night in the middle of a thunderstorm. As you can see by the picture taken at the airport we don’t look too bad considering the lack of sleep. We took a cab to the hotel and found out it had been raining a lot as some of the streets we were driving through had about 12 inches of water. We got to the room around 2:00am and were downstairs in the restaurant ordering food by 3:00am. Yeah, we were a little wired from the trip. Finally went to bed around 4:30am. We haven’t seen much of Thailand yet other than the dark streets last night and the hotel this morning on my trek to find a Diet Pepsi which ended fairly close with a Pepsi Max.
